Tropical Beach Promo BW28

Tropical Beach has a really neat story since it changed how the game developers approached event-exclusive promo cards. Tropical Beach was an award for players that qualified for the World Championships. This Stadium was meant to be a one-off trophy card.

However, as many Stage 2 decks became very powerful, most players didn’t really need to attack on the first turn. In this scenario, Tropical Beach is a great way to end your turn, similarly to how Rotom V behaved for Charizard ex decks.

Tropical Beach became wildly expensive since it was an extremely rare card that was very strong in set-up decks. This prompted the Pokémon Company to make Worlds promos far weaker in the future.
