Armored Mewtwo Promo SM228

Armored Mewtwo is a special full-art Promo card contained in the 2019 Collector’s Chest, themed around the movie Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution.

This card is in the style of Cosmic Eclipse’s Trainer Gallery cards, but it’s unique, not featuring any sort of Pokémon Trainer in the card art. It is based around the special design of Mewtwo featured in the movie, giving it a special card name “Armored Mewtwo”.

The card isn’t particularly strong, dealing 130 damage for three Psychic Energy. 120 HP isn’t bad but three Retreat is awful. Armored Mewtwo is a relatively unplayable card but a very unique memento of the film.
