Antique Old Amber 151 154/165
After two Generations of Unidentified Fossil, Scarlet and Violet introduced a Fossil mechanic more similar to Diamond and Pearl. Every Fossil Pokémon once again received its own Fossil card with the prefix “Antique”. This is an odd choice, since “Antique” usually references something manmade.
The trade-off for the lack of a universal Fossil was that each one had its own special Ability. For example, this Antique Old Amber is immune to Abilities, which could be useful against Munkidori’s Adrena-Brain.
If you look in the bottom right corner of the card, this is one of the rare cards that designates that it can evolve into something. In this case, Antique Old Amber can evolve into Aerodactyl or Aerodactyl ex. This would imply that there was a new ex, since the old one Evolves from Mysterious Fossil. However, this card rotated before any such card was printed. Presumably the ex was included for future-proofing, but there’s no point without Mega Aerodactyl ex.
