Landorus EX Boundaries Crossed 89/149
Landorus EX is the first ever card of Landorus’ Therian Forme, introduced in Black and White 2. There would only ever be one more, released as a Black and White Promo.
It was a very strong card in the metagame upon its release in Boundaries Crossed thanks to its Hammerhead attack. Hammerhead dealt 30 damage to 2 Pokémon for one Energy. This attack could be used to eliminate two 30HP Tynamo on your first turn. Tynamo was a very strong card that, when evolved in Eelektrik, could stream Energy from your opponent’s Discard Pile. By using Hammerhead early, you could severely derail your opponent’s game plan.
Unlike Landorus cards today, Landorus EX is weak to Water. This makes more sense than Grass, as Landorus is Ground-Flying and takes neutral damage from Grass-type attacks.
