Trevenant VMAX Evolving Skies 14/203

Trevenant VMAX is emblematic of the middle of a TCG generation. By Evolving Skies, most of the new Pokémon have received chase cards, so some random Pokémon begin to trickle in. Maybe Trevenant was chosen since Hop uses it in the Sword and Shield game?

In terms of its playability, Trevenant VMAX is okay. Missing in the Forest can do huge damage at the end of the game once your opponent has played a lot of Supporter cards, but it’s far too weak in the first few turns. Even worse is that your opponent can just play smart and not discard any Supporters.

Trevenant VMAX would be a good end-game cleaner, but being a VMAX, it takes too much space in the deck to be viable.
