Delcatty Ruby and Sapphire 5/109
Delcatty’s first, and probably most infamous card, has a very strong Poké-Power. Drawing three cards every single turn is ridiculous for a Stage 1, and the Energy discard was typically a benefit.
Blaziken from the same expansion could attach Energy from the Discard Pile, meaning that Delcatty actually helped attach Energy.
Max Energy Source is a fairly strong attack in a pinch, almost like a weaker version of Myriad Leaf Shower. The attack text references “all of your Active Pokémon”. The Trading Card Game tied into the debut of Double Battles in Ruby and Sapphire. Extra card text was added in order to support a Double Battle, but this format didn’t gain much traction.

Regirock V Sword and Shield 104/202
Can you see anything weird about this Regirock V? 220 HP, 3 Retreat, and Grass Weakness all seem normal…. but why is Regirock V in Sword and Shield Base Set? This issue wasn’t just for Regirock, as Keldeo, Victini and others were also included.
Having multiple older Legendary Pokémon is very bizarre for a Base Set. Typically, you would expect early-game Pokémon. The reason these Legendary Pokémon were included is because there was a V Starter Set in Japan released before Sword and Shield Base Set. Each deck featured new Generation 8 Pokémon as well as a Pokémon V featuring a Legendary Pokémon. This was probably done to save Pokémon V of Generation 8 cards for main expansions.
I decided to highlight Regirock due to the added wrinkle that there is no Registeel or Regice V.
